Filoalfa presents the new sustainable line: Ethica
Ciceri de Mondel has been a part of the extrusion of plastics' market for more than 40 years, and is inspired everyday by the principles of sustainability and innovation. This is why we firmly believe in using circular economy as a means to make new and eco-friendly products.
Ciceri de Mondel's commitment to sustainability takes concrete form in our decision to support and make the most of the advantages of a circular economy, as well as in the mindful use of bioplastics.
With this vision in mind, ETHICA was born: a new FILOALFA line of filaments for 3D printing entirely focused on the development of products through a sustainable and eco-friendly approach.
The first born family: Vita Nova
The name chosen for the new family of products developed by FILOALFA is VITA NOVA, a suggestive name that underlines the nature of the filaments, made entirely from internal recycling of pre-consumer waste material.
During the production process of filaments for 3D printing, sometimes “waste” filaments come out of the extrusion lines due to dimensional costancy or color uniformity. An example of this would be when meters of extruded filaments are discarded during plant start-up, color change and diameter change.
At FILOALFA, all this “waste” is separated by material and carefully stored to be subsequently shredded and take “new life”. This makes up the raw-secondary material used for the extrusion of the VITA NOVA filaments.
VITA NOVA maintains the same mechanical and chemical properties as the filaments made from “new” materials. However, they tend to have a darker, undefined color which differs from batch to batch. It is for this reason that they are especially suitable for functional uses and for those who are very invested in the environmental cause.

The filaments have the same mechanical and chemical properties as the ones made from non-recycled or “new” materials.
The advantages of sustainable printing
Due to their properties, the VITA NOVA filaments are especially suitable for functional uses.

What people think about Vita Nova
Per il materiale da cui nasce siamo veramente soddisfatti per l'alta qualità.
Molto semplice da stampare, ha una finitura molto bella, ha le stesse caratteristiche di un pla normale
I can't get enough of this filament. It's so easy to print. I love the fact that its recycled. I cant wait to print with it more. It even has a little sparkle.
3d print sos
